A very warm welcome to the spring term and a Happy New Year to you all. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Mrs Tempan well in her retirement and to thank her for all her hard work and commitment to Copp over the years. I would also like to welcome Mrs Lynda Bleasdale as our new Reception teacher.
The topics we will be covering this half term are:- Titanic China Survival St Lucia/Under The Sea Once Upon a Time People Who Help Us/Keeping Safe China features strongly in our activities over the next couple of months – we have our Chinese New Year lunch on 24th January, our Chinese disco on Thursday 9th February and China Day on Friday 10th February. This will be quite an exciting day for the children – they will be learning about many Chinese activities including drumming, singing and percussion and the Y4/5 pupils, who are studying China as their topic, will be performing at 3.00 pm for their parents. Other exciting things to look forward to this half term include:- Sportz4All Dodgeball after school Choir concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena Young Wyre in Bloom presentation at the Civic Centre Interactive science days Education Sunday
Our Christian values for this half term are perseverance and trust and our PSHE theme is Going for Goals. Our target is "to try and get better at something and to help others achieve.” Our worship music follows this theme and ranges from Beethoven to Mission Impossible!
